Woman leads authorities on 5-mile police chase

A 20-year-old Minden woman is in police custody after leading police on a five-mile chase through Sanilac county on Sunday.

According to police, Adrienne Christensen failed to stop for a traffic violation on Patterson Road in Sanilac County around 8:30 a.m.

Christensen continued at a high rate of speed on Patterson Road before heading west on Huron County Line Road into Huron County. 

Officers say Christensen traveled approximately five miles until she pulled into a driveway and tried fleeing the vehicle. Police were able to apprehend Christensen and transported her to the Sanilac County Jail.

She is being charged with felony fleeing and eluding, possession of a controlled substance, operating while intoxicated and resisting and obstructing a police officer.

Christensen bonded out of jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
