GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Several businesses are moving into Mid-Michigan and that is creating jobs and more places for people to grab a bite to eat.

The most recent boost will hit downtown Grand Blanc and Grand Blanc Township.

Construction on the new Aubrey's Pizza in downtown Grand Blanc is underway. Steel is being hung and ground is being broken. The Chamber of Commerce couldn't be happier.

"That will also bring other small little businesses in that area. So the area is very excited to see another restaurant come in here and join us," says Jet Kilmer, President of the Grand Blanc Chamber of Commerce.

Downtown Grand Blanc isn't the only place in the area that seems to be experiencing a bit of a construction boom. In Grand Blanc Township, officials say they're expecting a couple of new eatery's very soon. One's is to be at the Trillium complex. The other will be just down the road.

There is also a Culver's restaurant coming in at Regency Park. Bagger Dave's is also expected to be built in the area.

With more business people say that means more opportunity. Everyone in the area says whether growth is in town or the township, that growth is good.

No word yet on when the businesses are scheduled to open.
