SANDUSKY COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

An elderly driver was killed early Saturday morning after running through a stop sign, according to authorities.

Ohio State Highway Patrolmen say the crash happened around 7:20 a.m. Saturday.

Judith Hansen, 69, of Clyde, was heading west on County Road 181 in Green Creek Township.

Troopers say she failed to yield the right of way at the intersection of State Route 19, driving her Ford Focus into the path of a Dodge Caravan.

The driver of the van, 25-year-old Alyson Johnson, of Fremont, struck Hansen's vehicle before her van overturned.

Hansen was transported by Life Flight to the University of Toledo Medical College where she later died.

Johnson and a passenger were both taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. An update on their condition has not yet been released.

Troopers say alcohol was not a factor in the crash. An investigation is underway.
