OWOSSO, MI (WNEM) -

One of the three suspects has pleaded guilty to two charges and has agreed to testify against the other two suspects in the death of a local man.

Samantha Grigg, 18, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and unarmed robbery at a court appearance Monday morning. She is scheduled to be sentenced May 27. She faces up to 15 years in prison.

Authorities have agreed to drop three charges against Grigg in exchange for her testimony against the other two suspects.

Grigg, Tyrel Bredernitz, 18, and Brandon Heim, 16, are charged in the death of 19-year-old Dustyn Frolka. Prosecutor Charles Sherman says all three defendants were charged with felony murder and unarmed robbery.

Brendernitz and Heim are due back in court in the next few weeks.

Frolka, of Owosso, was found was found unresponsive on the side of I-69 Feb. 15. Authorities say the three suspects robbed Frolka and allegedly threw his body out of a moving vehicle.

He reportedly had a drug known for causing hallucinations in his system. Police are awaiting toxicology results to determine what killed him.

Frolka posted a comment to his Twitter page on the night of his death. His post read, "I've never done DMT and that is about to change." DMT, or Dimethyltryptamine, is a hallucinogenic drug.

Frolka was in respiratory distress, and only partially clothed when a passing motorist who is a nurse stopped and began first aid.

Police say the suspects were found with illegal drugs when their apartment was raided.

Grigg is a senior at Saline High School near Ann Arbor and Bredernitz is a Saline High graduate. The 16-year-old Heim says he dropped out as a sophomore.

Frolka's sister, Pamela Hincka, says she and her family were devastated to learn that Dustyn had died.

"Our understanding is that he was beat up, robbed, then dropped out of a moving vehicle. I don't know too many more details. I want to make sure he's not remembered as that," said Hincka. "He was just a very giving loving person and there are many questions about this scenario."

Hincka remembers her brother as a good student. He was a marketing major at Michigan State University, with a 3.5 grade point average.

She says Dustyn, also known as "D-Fro", was a talented singer and rapper.

He met a lot of people as he traveled around Michigan performing. She says Dustyn was very friendly and that may have lead to trouble.

Dustyn was also a father. His 10-month old daughter lives here in Mid-Michigan. Musicians Frolka worked with are putting together a memorial cd. They are also hoping to raise money to start a college fund for his little girl.
