HARRISON, MI (WNEM) -

The cause of fire that destroyed a local sheriff's home is undetermined at this time.

Sheriff Wilson's Harrison home was destroyed during the fire on Monday, April 28 at 11 a.m.

The Harrison Fire Department was assisted by Gladwin Fire, Surrey Township Fire, Garfield Fire and Clare Fire Departments. They battled the blaze for several hours.

The Michigan State Police Fire Investigation Unit said Wednesday the cause of fire is undetermined. However, electrical problems could not be ruled out.

The Harrison Fire Department thanked the local fire departments, MMR Ambulance Service and the many citizens that helped during the fire.

Fire Chief Agin wished his best to the Wilson family as they move forward.
