Hometown hero will be back in Mid-Michigan

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Army Staff Sgt. Travis Mills will be back in Mid-Michigan Thursday.

The quadruple-amputee veteran will speak at St. Stephen church in Saginaw. It's part of Covenant Hospital's "Stroke Awareness Month."

Mills lost his limbs when he stepped on an IED in Afghanistan in 2012.

The event begins at 6 p.m.
