One of the latest beauty fixes is being called shapewear for your under-eye area. It promises to camouflage bags and wrinkles at least temporarily.

It just became available in doctors' offices two weeks ago and Eyewitness News went to the only office in Connecticut where you can get it right now.

For years now, women have known about the almost magical powers of Spanx, which is the shapewear that sucks you in and slims you down.

Dr. Omar Ibrahimi, who is located in Stamford, said a new product is Spanx for the under-eye area. That product is Neotensil.

It's a two-step treatment for bags and wrinkles.

First, you remove your make up and then, you put two gels directly under your eyes.

The first gel is a base and the second is an activator. When the two gels meet, they create a thin film under your eyes.

"When the product cross links, it will actually push bags inward and smooth out wrinkles," Ibrahimi said.

The application process takes just a few minutes. Ibrahimi said he recommends you take it off at the end of the day.

In each box, there's 50 applications. The cost for those 50 applications is $500.

Susan Jones said it's worth it. She's tried lots and lots of creams, but still would wake up with puffy bags.

"I had gone to a dermatologist," Jones said. "What can I do about the bags under my eyes and he said 'nothing, surgery?'"

Jones said she first used it when she was part of a clinical trial. But now it's available to everyone.

While she was in the office, Ibrahimi applied the gels and then four hours later, the bags under Jones' eyes were banished. Ibrahimi said people must keep in mind, it is a temporary fix.

"I want it on the weekends, for when I go out on special occasions," Jones said.

You can't wear makeup under the product or over it. But, you can use special powders in several different shades made by the company. Jones said she is fine with that and added she's finally found a way to send her puffy bags packing.

"It doesn't hurt, you can feel it being better," Jones said.

Ibrahimi said  there are no side effects, but Neotensil is not designed to help those with dark eye circles.
