CLARE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Two people were transported by ambulance to the Clare Emergency Room for non-life-threatening injuries after they were involved in a three-vehicle crash.

Harold McKnight, 70, or Harrison, was driving a Clare County Transit Bus south bound on Old State Avenue when he came to a stop at the intersection of Surrey Road, police said. McKnight then proceeded to drive through the intersection and collided with a 2006 Saturn Ion that was traveling east bound on Surrey Road.

The Saturn was driven by 26-year-old Robert Green of Harrison. June Pendleton, 70, of Harrison was a passenger in Green's car.

The impact caused the bus to hit a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by 25-year-old Cynthia Odell, of Harrison.

McKnight and Pendleton were both transported to the hospital.

The Clare County Sheriff Department responded to the accident about 2 p.m. Thursday, May 8.

All individuals involved were wearing their seatbelts. Police believe alcohol was not a factor in the accident.

The Clare County Sheriff Department was assisted by Surrey Rescue and MMR. The accident remains under investigation.
