MIDLAND, MI (WNEM) -

A mid-Michigan jury has convicted a man of murdering a local woman in July 2010.

Birl Hill, 37, was convicted of first degree premeditated murder, first degree felony murder and other charges. Prosecutors say Hill shot and killed Jessica Callan in July of 2010.

The jury deliberated for only two hours before reaching their verdict.

Michigan State Police determined Callan, who was 23 at the time of her death, died of a single gunshot wound.

Callan was found in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Spaulding Township. Callan's body was discovered at the cemetery, but detectives believe she may have been shot at a different location.

Prosecutors say that Hill shot and killed Callan after a drug deal went sour.
