General Motors named Garber Buick as one of GM's Dealers of the Year.

Garber's dealership, 5925 State St. in Saginaw, is one of 12 Buick dealers in the United States to receive the honor. There are more than 2,000 Buick dealerships in the country.

The award will be presented to the president and dealer Richard Garber and managing partner Rich Perdue on Wednesday.

"We are proud that our hard work and dedication to the customer has allowed us to be recognized as one of the General Motors' Dealers of the year," Garber said in a press release. "Our number one priority is providing the best customer experience, and we look forward to building on this in 2014."

The Dealer of the Year recognition is awarded to the top performers in sales and customer service.

Garber Buick is America's oldest Buick dealership, according to the press release. The dealership opened in 1907 when Guy Garber founded the organization. The Garber Management Group owns 14 dealerships in Michigan, Illinois, Florida and New York.
