Lorenzo Cedell Jones (Newberry County Sheriff's Office)
NEWBERRY COUNTY, SC (WIS) -
A man wanted in connection with a robbery at a home last month in Newberry County has been arrested.
On April 30, deputies responded to an armed robbery call on Holy Trinity Church Road in Little Mountain when witnesses told them that two men forced their way into home where they held the victims on the floor and robbed the victims and stole several items, including cell phones.
Newberry County sheriff's investigators said Lorenzo Cedell Jones, 27, was identified as one of the subjects involved in this incident.
Through a 3-day search by the Newberry County Sheriff's Office and SLED, Jones was located in Newberry and apprehended without incident, the Newberry County Sheriff's Office said.
"It is the coming together of the entire community that ensures that incidents like this are few and far between," said Newberry County Sheriff Lee Foster. "We work to eradicate violence in the community at every level. It takes an entire community to make this happen."
The second man wanted in connection is still being sought. A description of the second man has not been released.
If there is any information regarding the whereabouts of any of the subjects involved, please contact the Newberry County Sheriff's Office at (803) 321-2222.
