A woman who exposed herself to 6-year-old and kicked a police officer Thursday is facing a slew of charges.

Greenfield police received a tip from an off-duty trooper that witnessed a drunk driver get in a minivan and drive away near Oak Courts, police said.

Local police located the van and immediately smelled alcohol coming from the driver's breath, but it was the passenger, later identified as 35-year-old Elisa Hache, who was accosting police.

As Hache screamed obscenities at the officers, neighbors began to come outside to see the disturbance. One neighbor said Hache screamed at her earlier in the day in attempt to bait the neighbor into a fight, police said.

The verbal abuse frightened the 6-year-old, and at one point, Hache dropped her pants and exposed her buttocks in the direction of the complainant and the child, police said.

When she was placed under arrest she kicked the arresting officer in the knee, which caused great pain, police said. He was transported to the emergency room and treated for minor injuries.

There was probable cause to believe that the driver, identified as 60-year-old Brian Cummings, of Turners Falls, was operating the vehicle while under the influence. He took a breath test with the following results: 0.09, police said.

He was arrested for DUI (second offence) and possession of an open alcoholic container, according to an arrest report.

Hache, who resides at 23 Oak Courts in Greenfield, was charged with open and gross lewdness, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct, police said.
