Cleveland Police investigate suspicious package at Home Depot

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Police were alerted to a suspicious package and bomb threat at the Home Depot store on W. 117th. on Friday, May 23, around 3 p.m.

After sending several police vehicles to the location and inspecting the item, officers inform 19 Action News that nothing harmful was found.

The latest update from Cleveland Police comes at 4:07 p.m.

Traffic in the area has been affected as police work to ensure the safety of everyone in the area.

Everyone in the store including employees were evacuated from the store.

Employees of nearby businesses tell 19 Action News that they were not allowed to leave as detectives worked to gather more information.
