FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

A man is charged after his wife's body was found inside their home on the city's south side.

Patricia Alley, 33, was pronounced dead inside the home on the 2000 block of Dwight Avenue early Sunday morning.

Craig Lossie Alley, 32, is charged with second-degree murder after authorities said he kicked his wife to death.

He faces the possibility of life in prison.

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton said a medical examiner declared the death a homicide, ruling Patricia Alley died from a lacerated liver. He contended a kick from Craig Alley caused her death.

The death was the 12th homicide reported in Flint in 2014.
