Authorities are trying to identify a man found fatally shot and burned on Detroit's west side.
Officer Adam Madera tells the Detroit Free Press that the man's body was found around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday near the Lodge Freeway service drive.
Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office spokeswoman Mary Mazur says an autopsy Thursday found that the man died of a gunshot wound to the head.
Mazur says the death was ruled a homicide, but an identity wasn't determined. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Detroit police.
