A former employee Reid Ross Classical School in Fayetteville is wanted on charges of embezzling more than $65,000 from the school.

Shakicha Natasha Murphy, 37, of Fayetteville, was a bookkeeper at Reid Ross Classical School when she was accused of embezzling more than $65,000 from deposits and collections.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said Murphy was responsible for all financial affairs of the school.

Deputies say Murphy wrote fraudulent receipts for money she collected and she pocketed the stolen proceeds during the 2011 and 2012 school years. Murphy then manipulated the school's accounts maintained for extracurricular activities in an effort to cover up her scheme.

Murphy is described as a black female who stands about 5-foot-5 and weighs about 200 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes, and typically wears her hair in an "up-do."

Deputies say Murphy also typically walks with the assistance of a cane.
