DETROIT (AP) -
A 49-year-old Detroit foster home worker returns to court for a hearing to decide if she will face trial in the videotaped beating of a disabled woman with a mop handle and extension cord.
The Wayne County prosecutor's office says Kadia Konate-Dennard faces a probable cause hearing Thursday morning.
A Detroit district judge had ordered Konate-Dennard held on a $200,000 bond on five felony charges.
WJBK-TV broadcast a video last month of the beating of the 24-year-old woman, who is autistic and can't speak. WDIV-TV reported that a nurse's assistant shot the video of Konate-Dennard beating Vera Gossett.
