Police investigating overnight shooting

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Saginaw city patrol officers and Michigan State Police troopers responded to a shooting on the 700 block of N. Oakley Street at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday.

A 34-year-old white male was shot twice while standing in his kitchen, police said.

The unknown shooter shot the victim through a kitchen window, which caused a non-fatal injury to the victim, police said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

"Our detectives reported to scene immediately last night and have a few leads already," Sgt. Reggie Williams said in a news release.
