19 Action News has learned Berea Safety Director Ken Adams is suddenly no longer with the city.
We called to check and a secretary referred us to the mayor's office.
Then the mayor's office said, 'he's in a meeting and would call us back'.
Eventually Berea City Hall confirmed with 19 Action News that Adams was fired over the weekend. Acting Safety Director Barbara Jones says his firing was primarily related to a management audit of the police department.
Adams had caused stir with his own police department trying to have the highway patrol investigate officers.
It all revolved around officers running license plates checks, and whether some of those checks involved city officials.
