SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Twitter's TweetDeck application was temporarily disabled Wednesday after a security breach.

The security breach had users retweeting messages of random html code.

About 1 p.m. TweetDeck's official Twitter account sent out a tweet informing all users they have disabled TweetDeck services temporarily. The application was turned back on about 2 p.m.

Users who were affected by the security breach are recommended to change their Twitter passwords.

TweetDeck allows Twitter users to view and manage their tweets from multiple users on one screen. The application is popular among news organizations.

TV5 was one of the users affected by the security breach.
