Miguel Cabrera provided the heroics for the Detroit Tigers with a RBI Double scoring Ian Kinsler in the top of the 10th for a 5-4 win over the Indians in Cleveland.
Justin Verlander pitched 7 innings allowing just 4-hits and 2-runs while stirking out eight and was in position to pick up the win, but with the Tigers Leading 4-3 in the bottom of the 9th Joe Nathan gave up a RBI single to Michael Bourn that tied the game and sent it into extra innings. It's the 5th time Nathan has blown a save this season.
Victor Martinez gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead with a solo home run in the 2nd, his 19th home run of the season. Martinez added a RBI single in the 6th that tied the game at 2 and Rajai Davis and Ian Kinsler gave the Tigers a 4-2 lead in the 7th with back-to-back solo home runs.
The win is the third straight for the Tigers who now hold a game and a half lead over the Kansas City Royals in the AL Central Division.
