"It just definitely has not been the same in terms of business."

That quote from Eric Hentemann, a bartender at A.J. Rocco's downtown. Not the same since LeBron left. Cleveland's economy, or the "LeBronomy", took a hit.

The basketball superstar injected millions into the area. According to reports at least $150 million for dozens of home games alone, with ticket sales, souvenirs, food, and hotels.

"When LeBron was here in town a lot of businesses were busy," Hentemann added. "But when he took his talents to South Beach places like this saw fewer customers. It's just a lot quieter."

Hentemann has noticed a big difference.

"And it always filled up really quickly and now it doesn't or it hasn't in the past years since he's been gone," Hentemann said.

Employees at Panini's downtown tell us they saw about a 30% loss after LeBron. Only when the team is hot do many restaurants see a boost in business. And some fans and businesses say it would be nice to see the star return.

"I've had plenty of ex-girlfriends," Andrew Rocco said. "I've been through the process and that's what most people are treating LeBron as. I think I would bring that ex-girlfriend back.

LeBron won't be able to even negotiate with the Cavs for at least a week. That's when free agency begins in the NBA.
