Father-Son duo dominates at Bay City River Roar

BAY CITY, MI (WNEM) -

The Rinker family is used to winning races, and today on the Saginaw River, father Terry and son Robert were both victorious.

At the Bay City River Roar presented by Maier & Associates, Terry Rinker won the Formula 1 race, becoming a 5-time champion of the event.

Meanwhile, Terry's son, Robert, won the Formula 2 powerboat race for the 2nd year in a row.

Mark Schmerbauch took the checkered flag in the Formula Light race, making it back-to-back River Roar victories for him.

Bay City's Gary Barber, who started in the pole position, finished 9th in the Formula Light race.

Jimmy Robb, who piloted the WNEMTV5 sponsored boat, took 3rd in the Formula Light race.
