New Orleans police officers spent Tuesday morning repairing damage to a building that occurred when it was struck by a police cruiser.
The accident occurred Sunday at about 11 p.m. in Central City.
NOPD spokesman Garry Flot said an on-duty officer driving on Louisiana Avenue tried to turn onto LaSalle Street. Flot said the officer became "distracted, lost control of the vehicle and struck a building."
The business, a hair salon, was closed at the time and no one was inside. No one was injured in the incident.
