Suspect arraigned in fatal Saginaw Township crash

SAGINAW TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

A suspect has been arrested on charges related to a fatal rollover crash in Saginaw Township that happened on June 28.

Jose Ramon Teneyuque appeared in the 70th District Court on Wednesday where he was arraigned on second-degree murder, operating while intoxicated causing death, operating with a high blood alcohol content level and operating while intoxicated.

The suspect is the father of the victim who died in the crash.

Police said 19-year-old Linda Teneyuque was killed in the crash that happened about 11 p.m. Saturday night. She was a resident of Saginaw.

The accident happened on Gratiot Road near South Colony Drive.

A Chevrolet SUV traveling east on Gratiot Road left the road, flipped over and then hit a utility pole.

The driver, Teneyuque's 40-year-old father, was ejected from the vehicle but police said his injuries were not life-threatening. He was treated at Covenant Hospital and has since been released.

Teneyuque was taken to the hospital where she later died. Another passenger was not hurt.
