The Uptown at RiversEdge project is nearing completion.
Tim Socier, owner of Timothy's Fine Cigars, welcomed Dow Corning employees who toured their new office space. Socier said the uptown developments will boost Bay City businesses.
"We'll have new employees who are going to be coming down here for lunch, smoking cigars and looking at all our shops. It's going to be huge," Socier said.
In early August, Dow Corning employees will enjoy spectacular views.
"I'm excited about the collaborative space, I love the openness, I love being on the river," Chelsea Burger said.
Thanks to Dow Corning and the developer, the views over Bay City are changing.
"I think there's a lot of opportunity for conveniences for things we don't have," Burger said.
Socier hopes that sentiment will bring in foot traffic.
"I'm very excited, this is going to be an excellent addition to the Bay City community," Socier said.
The new Dow Corning building has five floors and about 100,000 square feet.
