INKSTER, Mich. (AP) -

A suburban Detroit judge has ordered a man to stand trial on first-degree murder charges in the shooting of a 2-year-old girl in front of the girl's father.

Inkster District Judge Sabrina Johnson ruled Wednesday that there's enough evidence to try 25-year-old Raymone Jackson in the killing of the girl and the wounding of her father and a 12-year-old girl.

The judge ordered a competency hearing for 29-year-old co-defendant Raphael Hearn, who's also charged with first-degree murder.

Authorities say Jackson shot KaMiya Gross in an act of retaliation against her father so it would be the last thing he saw.

It happened July 1 outside a house in Inkster. KaMiya's 34-year-old father Kenneth French and the 12-year-old survived.

KaMiya was buried Saturday on what would have been her third birthday.
