HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Farrah Franklin, a member of Destiny's Child for five months in 2000, was arrested in Horry County early Sunday morning for disorderly conduct.

Franklin flew into Myrtle Beach to visit with a Florida man, according to a police report. After a day of drinking, the two went back to a house in Myrtle Beach. The owner of the residence said Franklin was intoxicated, began acting strange, was yelling and suspected she was using drugs, the report states.

The Florida man and Myrtle Beach man said they tried to get Franklin to calm down. When she wouldn't, the men called police. After calling police, the Myrtle Beach man said Franklin fled, according to the report.

When police arrived, they said they found Franklin laying in a neighbor's yard, down the street from the Myrtle Beach house.

Police say Franklin appeared to be highly intoxicated.

Franklin said she was in town to visit the Florida man, had drank a lot of alcohol, and did not have anywhere to go and was planning to sleep in the woods, according to the police report.

Franklin was transported to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center. She was booked at 4:55 a.m.

Franklin was released the same day after posting $280 bail.
