VCU student's iPhone stolen mid-conversation

Posted: Updated:

Someone on a bike made off with a VCU student's iPhone Tuesday afternoon, taking it from her hand as she chatted with her fiancé.

The student said she was walking down the 100 block of East Main Street, video chatting on FaceTime with her fiancé.

The thief whizzed by on his bike, and ripped the phone right out of her hand in mid-conversation.

The woman said her fiancé couldn't see the suspect's face during the video call.

Richmond police and VCU police are both investigating.
