Dozens of protesters voice their opinions

BAY CITY, MI (WNEM) -

Dozens of protestors both for and against the arrival of undocumented children from Central America gathered outside Bay City City Hall Monday night.

Two dozen Central American children between the ages of 6 and 13 are likely heading our way to be housed at Wellspring Lutheran Services' Facility in Bay City. The facility has secured a federal grant to temporarily house the children.

While the topic wasn't on the agenda, protesters had a lot to say.

One supporter says "We are counter-protesting racists who are trying to attack the children."

Those on the other side say it's because of their status. "It's not that I don't want them here, I want them to follow the right procedures."

It appears the children will be be housed here by the end of the month.
