ATLANTA (CBS46) -

A fight between two men that sent one man to the hospital and shut down a MARTA station on Aug. 9 was caught on camera.

Just before 10:50 a.m., police responded to a fight outside the Ashby Street MARTA station at 65 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd. The fight spilled out onto a train platform.

Bystander Rashad Toryano William Smith was on the platform and caught the fight on camera.

According to police, one man was stabbed several times. Smith eventually pulled the suspect, identified as Rodney Dwight Banks, 26, off of the victim, according to a post on Facebook.

The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and released.

Smith wrote on his Facebook page where he posted the video, "I just saved dude life, i have blood all over me, i almost got stabbed in the neck, i missed my stop, came back to save somebody life, oooooomy god im shaking."

Banks was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a knife.

A MARTA spokesperson said trains had to bypass the station as police conducted their investigation.
