WELLS TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

A man punched a 13-year-old girl in the face and told her to get into his vehicle, police said.

The girl was walking with her bicycle on Riley Road near Dayton Road in Tuscola County's Wells Township when an unidentified male pulled up next to her. The male punched her in the face and told her to get in his vehicle, police said.

The girl refused and the suspect punched her two more times then got into his vehicle and left the scene, police said.

The victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and has since been released. The incident happened on Aug. 8 between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.

The suspect's vehicle is being described as an older white pickup truck that is smaller in size than an average pickup truck.

The suspect is described as being a clean shaven white male with black hair and no visible tattoos or piercings in his 30s.

The Michigan State Police are investigating a few leads. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is requested to contact the MSP Caro Post at 989-673-2156.
