JONESFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

A woman and a dog are dead following a fatal motorcycle accident on Sunday, Aug. 10.

A group of motorcycles were heading westbound on Frost Road near Meridian Road in Saginaw County's Jonesfield Township. A dog ran out of a ditch in front of them, police said.

The second motorcycle, driven by Pamela Graham, 57, of Potterville, hit the dog and ended up laying the bike down. She was not wearing a helmet and suffered severe head trauma, police said.

Graham was transported to St. Mary's in Saginaw where she died on Thursday. The dog was also killed in the accident.

The owner of the dog has been identified and the case is going to the prosecutor, but police said it is still an active investigation.
