INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM/AP) -

Authorities say a Detroit-area man has died from injuries he sustained during a confrontation with a teenager at a Hank Williams Jr. concert.

According to the Oakland County sheriff's office, the 15-year-old boy shoved Robert Kobe, 55, of Westland, on DTE Energy Music Theatre's concourse Sunday night.

Capt. Christopher said Kobe died about noon Tuesday at McLaren Hospital Pontiac.

The sheriff's department says Kobe fell to the ground, striking his head on the concrete.

The Oakland County Medical Examiner ruled Kobe's death a homicide on Friday.

The Wayne teen was at the concert with his father.

Once sheriff's detectives complete their investigation they will present their findings to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office for review, police said.

The venue is in Independence Township, northwest of Pontiac.
