US Coast Guard unloads $19M in cocaine bust

(CNN) – The crew of the Coast Guard's Cutter Hawk unloaded about 576 kilograms of cocaine on Friday.

The bust was made in St. Petersburg, FL.

The drugs have a street value of nearly $19 million.

Five suspected smugglers were taken into custody during Operation Martillo, off the coast of the Dominican Republic.

Operation Martillo is a joint, inter-agency and multi-national effort to stop the flow of illicit drugs.
