MID-MICHIGAN (WNEM) -

Police in Wisconsin have arrested Mid-Michigan native Andrew Steele, 39, for the murder of his wife and sister-in-law.

Fitchburg Police say the double homicide happened Aug. 22 at Steele's home in Fitchburg, Wisconsin.

Medical examiners have identified the victims as Steele's wife, Ashlee Steele, 39, and her sister Kacee Tollesbol, 38, a resident of Lake Elmo, Minnesota.

The Steele family was working to raise money after Andy was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

The Nouvel graduate returned to Saginaw Township earlier this month for a benefit to help pay for his medical expenses.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
