Police searching for suspect in Saginaw Co. bank robbery

FREELAND, MI (WNEM) -

Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly held up the Chemical Bank branch in Freeland early Tuesday morning.

Police say the man robbed the bank, located at 230 N. Main Street in Freeland around 9 a.m.

He is described as a heavyset white male, about 5'10" tall with a beard. He was seen wearing blue jeans, a white polo shirt with blue horizontal strips and a white University of Michigan hat.

He was also wearing mirrored sunglasses.

Police say he left the bank heading northbound on Main Street in a 2003 or 2004 teal colored Chevrolet Malibu.
