Michigan's most wanted sex offender arrested

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Michigan's most wanted sex offender was arrested on Tuesday by investigators from the Michigan State Police Third District Fugitive Team and Flint City Police.

Anthony Beaurem had warrants out for his arrest for a year and a half. The warrants include 10 counts of assault with intent to commit murder, three counts of carrying a concealed weapon, one count of felony fraud, five counts of armed robbery and five counts of felony sex offender violation.

Officers received a Crime Stoppers tip that the suspect was at a residence in Flint, police said.

Officers responded to the residence and Beaurem attempted to flee. After a short pursuit he was taken into custody, police said. He had a firearm in possession when he was taken into custody.

Beaurem was lodged at the Flint City Jail.
