TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Pima County Sheriff's Department arrested a suspect in a recent armed robbery on Tucson's south side.

The PCSD said the department received several tips that led to the arrest of 35-year-old William Bodney on Sept. 3.

The release said the man placed a pink and black handgun on the counter of a Quick Mart at 4280 E. Benson Highway and demanded money from the clerk. He left with cigarettes, beer and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Authorities booked him into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex on charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault.
