Cool Monday, warmer weather on the way

Posted: Updated:

Your last day of summer will bring cooler than average temperatures.

We started our Monday with lows in the 40s, along with some morning clouds. These clouds are clearing out and will leave us with mostly sunny skies today.

The sun won't warm us up much, and highs will only reach the low 60s. This is almost 10° below the seasonal average, which is 70°.

Fall begins at 10:29 P.M., making tomorrow the first full day of fall. We will welcome the season with a stretch of beautiful weather!

The wind will shift to be out of the west southwest tonight. This wind shift will bring warmer air to mid-Michigan, starting tomorrow.

High pressure will be in control of our weather for several days, and we will see a stretch of 70s and sunshine.
