Central Michigan's Thomas Rawls has once again been named the MAC's offensive player of the week.
The Flint native rushed for 270 yards on 40 carries and scored two td's as the chips broke Northern Illinois' 28-game home winning streak with a 34-17 victory. Rawls' 270 rushing yards ranks third in the FBS this season and is the highest total by a MAC player.
Rawls is the first player to rush for more than 200 yards versus niu since 2010. The huskies entered the game leading the conference in rushing defense allowing just 107 yards a game. Rawls did most of his damage in the second half, running for 194 yards on 24 carries as the Chippewas salted the game away.
