ESSEXVILLE, MI (WNEM) -

A disabled mid-Michigan woman in bad need of repairs to her home is getting help from the TV5 Rescue Squad.

Sandy Steiner lives in a mobile home with her four cats in Saginaw Bay Estates in Essexville. The mobile home is falling apart.

Chris Boyke remembered the TV5 Rescue Squad and stepped in to help. Boyke owns Bay Area Mobile Homes and has offered to help Sandy put her home back together again.

"If it wasn't for them stepping forward, I'm not sure what would have happened," says Steiner. "I don't have to worry about losing my home anymore."

"The park is going to cover the materials and then my company is going to cover the labor, so it's not going to cost Sandy anything," said Boyke.

Sandy says she is overwhelmed with gratitude.

"The rescue squad, I really debated on whether to call or not and I took a shot and TV5 was phenomenal," said Steiner.

Property Manager Marci Parker is donating the materials to get the job done. She says this act of kindness is a gift that will keep on giving.

"I think Sandra would be one who would pay it forward," says Parker.

As for Sandy, with a solid roof over her head she can live with less thing to worry about.
