Temperatures will remain steady as we head throughout the day on Friday with highs only reaching into the low 40's in many areas. A wind advisory is also in effect for many areas in the western portion of the TV5 viewing area as well as the Thumb. The advisory is in place until Saturday morning for Clare, Isabella and Gratiot counties. The Thumb advisory is in effect until 10 p.m. Friday evening.

TV5 Meteorologist Lauren Fahrenkrug says rain showers will persist and cooler air moving in will change the precipitation over to a wintry mix. Some of the snow may stick for a short time but is likely to melt because of warmer ground temperatures.

The weekend will remain cooler with highs on Saturday and Sunday only reaching into the mid 40's.

Temperatures begin to warm up as we head into next week with highs Monday around 52 degrees.
