First Warn 5

Snow Making for Tricky Travel

Posted: Updated:

A clipper system will pass just to the south of Mid-Michigan during the course of our Tuesday. This will spread occasional light to moderate snow across the region through much of the morning. A few pockets of heavy snow may develop as the system gains a bit of enhanced moisture off of Lake Michigan.

Road conditions will be on the dicey side through the first half of the afternoon, when most of the snow shower activity comes to a close. This should put the evening drive in much better shape, and lead to a brief dry period overnight. A second disturbance will arrive on Wednesday, with another round of snow showers.

The second half of the week will be largely dominated by quiet weather.

A mix of clouds and sunshine should be a daily staple through the start of the weekend, and temperatures should remain around average each day.

The next chance for more substantial snow showers will arrive on Saturday. Check the full 7-Day forecast below!

Should be great weather for Zehnder's Snowfest, which is January 21-26th. Be sure to check it out!
