Scattered snow, icy conditions Thursday

Posted: Updated:

We've had snow showers around this morning, coating many roads.

Along with the snow, we've had areas of a wintry mix, creating icy conditions.

Track the location of the current snow online with our Interactive Radar.

The scattered snow will wind down late this afternoon, with a few flurries lingering into tonight. Snow totals will mostly be 1-2" by this evening. Even though this is not a big snowstorm, the icy conditions make travel more hazardous, so please take it easy on the roads.

A winter weather advisory will remain in effect for Gratiot County until 4 PM. Slick roads can be expected not only in the advisory area, but also for all of mid-Michigan.

Temperature-wise, we will be above average. Morning low temps were in the upper 20s, and highs will be in the low/mid 30s.

However, our southerly wind will veer today to eventually be out of the northwest, and this will bring in cold air for Friday. Highs tomorrow will only be in the upper teens.
