Cold air moves into Mid-Michigan

Arctic air has pushed into mid-Michigan and temperatures are in the single digits in many areas.

The widespread snow on Sunday made for the highest snow amounts so far this winter season for most of Mid-Michigan. The exception is near and north of M-61, where much less snow fell.

Flint received 8” of snow at the official recording station at the airport. This set a new record. The old record was 6.8”, set back in 1967.

Take caution on the roads, as many of them are covered with quite a bit of snow.

We'll see more clouds on Tuesday, and another round of snow will arrive Tuesday night. We will see light accumulations of a trace to 2" by Wednesday afternoon.
