Severe cold has set in to mid-Michigan and that will tip off of what is going to be a dangerously cold end of the week and weekend.

Temperatures have fallen into single digits with a few scattered areas of light snow. Highs on Thursday will not break out of the upper single digits. There is a chance for flurries on Thursday and winds will be blustery with winds out of the NNW at 15-25 MPH.

Track this wintry weather online with our Interactive Radar.

Temperatures will fall below zero on Thursday night. Afternoon highs will be in the teens Friday and Saturday. Another push of cold air will move in behind some snow on Saturday. That will keep highs in the single digits on Sunday during the day followed by sub zero readings on Sunday night.

During this very cold period of weather, make sure you do not forget about your pets.
