Chilly Friday, scattered snow tonight

We started this morning with temperatures just below 0, and some of our wind chill values dropped to -20°! Wind chill advisories are in effect for the Thumb until 11 AM.

Our high temperatures will reach the upper teens and low 20s today, which is still slightly below average. With the breezy conditions, wind chill values will be stuck in the single digits today.

Clouds will increase, and we'll see a few stray afternoon flurries. Scattered snow will arrive around dinnertime, and will continue through tonight.

By Saturday, we'll see a trace - 2" of accumulation. A winter weather advisory will be in effect from 5 PM today through noon tomorrow for Roscommon County, because of the combination of light snow, cold, and wind.

The coldest night will be Saturday night, and Sunday highs will only be in the low single digits. A wind chill warning will be in effect Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning for counties north of the Tri-Cities.
