High school students take part in robotics competition

FLINT, MI (WNEM) - Hundreds of people packed into Kettering University's Recreation Center on Saturday, March 7 to watch local high school students compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition.

41 teams participated in the district-wide event.

FIRST Robotics was founded in 1989 to show students of all ages that science, technology and problem-solving can be fun and rewarding.

Those earning top awards include teams from Carman-Ainsworth High School in Flint, Grand Blanc High School and Vassar High School.
