More mild March weather

Much of northern lower Michigan saw mostly sunny skies and temperatures that reached into the 50s on Tuesday and the same is ahead as we head towards the end of the work week.

More sunshine is expected on Wednesday and Thursday as a fresh zone of high pressure will jump into the fray, pushing away the storm system and its clouds. This could help push our temperatures to near 50 across a wide portion of the region.

Expect a repeat performance on Thursday, and staying dry into Friday. Both days will feature continued highs in the middle 40s.

Right now, the weekend looks like a bit of a split. A new storm system developing over the the southern Plains will follow a similar path to the current storm on Friday night and Saturday. This could push a bit more moisture into the Great Lakes, giving us at least a slight chance of rain/snow showers on Saturday.

Any wet (or wintry) weather will be gone by Sunday as sunshine resumes control of the skies. Widespread low 50s are possible by Monday!
